Summer is coming! (well, in some countries not in Indonesia) but still i always love summer and the idea of beach, fireworks, hot guys and beach, BBQ and hot guys (LOL Trying to imitate Patrick in an episode of Sponge Bob Square Pants, but i was sure it was a big failure). But unfortunately I will not talk about summer here! Of course because i never leave South-East Asia which means I've never felt how the real summer is.
Sorry for my lacks in posting, i have 3 excuses for you please forgive at least one of them:
- I was in final battle of thesis defense, so i have no time to write or go to any great event.
- My internet connection was acting gay, so that i could not visit any web for about 3 weeks long.
- My laptop's hard disk was damaged badly, so that i lost all my data and honestly did not have any good picture to post.
Thanks to point number 3, this time i am going to write my very first restaurant review!
Anyways it is Ramadhan time already! Ramadhan Kareem and Happy Fasting for all my Muslim friends (yes it is already too late, but it is better than not at all). It is one of Indonesia culture, you will get many break-fasting-together invitations in Ramadhan, from elementary school friends, middle school friends, high school friends, university friends, club friends, office friends etc until you are broke and have no money (especially for a full time college student like me). So i only attended some of the invitations.....and one of the was with my high school friends in Republic of Burger which is located in Cipete, South Jakarta. First of all sorry because i took most of the picture from other's web, because i did not prepare in writing this review but i need to put the credit.
This restaurant was located in a nice place and can be easily found. The best thing ever it is near my house.
The decoration of this restaurant is vintage and minimalist. In my opinion it is a great place to hang out with friends. There are not too many seats here so maybe it can only serve about 30-35 persons in the same time.
Most of the menu itself is burger. There are two kind of burger size, the Monster and Junior. The difference of that two kind of burger size is the wagyu beef size. The Monster ones are served with 250gr wagyu beef meanwhile the junior ones only use 150gr of wagyu beef. Beside burger you can also find pastas and side dishes like french fries and others.
For the drinks! the most recommended one is Nutella Freeze. By the way i did not order it because i was kinda out of money. But my friends like it very much, so i think next time i must order it! It is served in a jar or a cute glass like in the picture bellow.
For special Ramadhan, you will get an premium tajil for free at break-fasting time. It was like jelly with ice cream and jam for topping.
The price, i think it was a standard one. For Monster Burger it is about IDR60-75k and IDR 30-45k for Junior Burger. For usual drinks are only about IDR10-20k and for sweet freeze ones for abour IDR25-30k.
Just always remember to add 10% for taxes and 5% for service charge in your bill. You can see all the menu here.
So today i came here with 5 friends. And we spent about IDR475k in total (i did not take the picture of the bill sorry). Just lets say that to eat in this restaurant (for a main dish and a drink) at least we need about IDR80k for each person. Unfortunately because we ordered in break fasting time we need to wait for 45 minutes (or maybe longer, i forget) to get the food out. But i think if you come in usual hour it will take a short time for they serving the food.
Okey so here is my summary of review (max heart is 5)
